Behavior Support Specialist

We are currently looking for confident, dependable individuals who share our passion for child advocacy to join our expanding team.  As a Behavior Support Specialist you can expect to:

 

   •     Assist in planning and implementing programs of supervision and care for those in residential care

   •     Provide support with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, transport, budgeting, and health issues.

   •     Supervise and arrange activities to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of those in residential care.

   •     Ensure that those in residential care are adequately washed, dressed, fed and ready for treatment, educational and recreational activities.

   •     Supervise those in residential care during domestic activities such as eating meals and showering and provide supervision during the nighttime hours to ensure that all residents are kept safe

•        Provide appropriate role modeling and support during daily activities for youth in the residential setting

Program Clinician

Hittle House is an organization that provides residential, therapeutic, and educational services to adolescent boys that have been victims of sexual abuse and/or display symptomolgy of sexual trauma and cannot be placed in foster homes. This small and specialized residential facility serves children from 10 to 18 years of age. The services provided by Hittle House aresafe and secure, providing child placement agencies with a highly qualified and structured team approach to rehabilitation. We accept adjudicated and non-adjudicated juveniles.

 

The Program Clinician is responsible for all aspects of the treatment milieu to include individual, group and family therapy. Applicants will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the treatment plan and assessment process. Applicants should be able to work independently and as a member of treatment team. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must.

 

Clinical personnel have the knowledge, skills, and support to:

identify the needs of abused and neglected children and adults to include sexual abuse and trauma, sexual acting out and sexual offending

understand child development and individual and family functioning;

engage difficult to reach, traumatized, or disengaged individuals and families;

work with individuals with co-occurring health, mental health, and substance use conditions; and

collaborate with other disciplines and services

This position is a full-time position.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess one or more of the following credentials, MSW, LSW, LISW, LISW-S or LPCC.
