Heidi McAfee
Executive Director

Mrs. McAfee earned her Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University. She has been working professionally in the child welfare industry since 1997. Having worked for Children’s Services as a caseworker and in Juvenile Court as a Diversion Coordinator/Probation Officer, she has first-hand knowledge of what placing agencies look for in programming. Mrs. McAfee has twenty+ years of experience working with adolescent males with sexually abusive behaviors.

Mrs. McAfee is responsible for program development and human resources.

Heather Bush

Mrs. Bush has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Otterbein College, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. She has worked in the administration/finance industry for nine (9) years. Most recently, she has worked as a case manager for a therapeutic foster care network. Heather has worked professionally in the child welfare industry since 2006. Mrs. Bush is responsible for all fiscal and administrative duties.

Mrs. McAfee & Mrs. Bush attend several professional conferences annually, including the Public Children’s Service Agencies of Ohio (PCSAO) Conference, Ohio Probation Conference, Two Days in May (Victim’s Assistance) Conference, and the National ATSA Conference. Heidi and Heather are the proud owners of Hittle House.

Resources. John has two (2) years of experience working with special needs and at-risk children as a Behavior Specialist for an SBH/ED classroom at North Ridge School District and Zanesville Middle School. He coached high school football for six (6) years. Mr. Williamson is responsible for all daily operations and staff development. He has been with Hittle House since 2007.

Irma Dotto

Ms. Dotto graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sexuality Studies. While attending OSU, she worked as a student research assistant in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. In 2013/2014, she was an intern at Hittle House, and in 2015 she accepted the position to oversee all licensing, accreditation, and quality control duties.

Mr. Borthwick has been employed with Hittle House since 2015. He is responsible for Care Coordination to include managing all residents’ care while living here at Hittle House. He manages all medical appointments, visitation, client records, and documentation.

Mary Griffin

Ms. Griffin has been with Hittle House since October 2008. She has worked in residential care since 2003. Mary served as a high school and junior high volleyball coach for several years. She is responsible for all first shift programming, education, appointments, food service, and supervises a staff of 6-9 direct Behavior Support Specialists.

Earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ashland University and her Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University in Science and Social Administration. For the last seven (7) years, she has specialized in treating adolescent males with problematic sexual behavior in residential treatment settings. She is a member of NASW and ATSA. She has been with Hittle House since 2008, providing clinical supervision, individual, group, and family therapy.

Ms. Ottney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Capital University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. She was an undergraduate intern at Hittle House while at Capital University. In addition to social work, she studied animal-assisted therapies and hopes to institute some of that experience into her work here at Hittle House. She joined the team in July 2018.

Mr. Greenwalt joined Hittle House in 2019. Prior to accepting employment at Hittle House, Mr. Greenwalt interned in the JSO program while completing his undergraduate degree. He has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University. He is responsible for all first shift programming, education, appointments, food service, and supervises a staff of 6-9 behavioral support specialists.

Dr.Yaser Ramadan, M.D./ Andrea Jones CNP-Psychiatry

Dr. Ramadan is our program psychiatrist. He earned his M.D. from the University of Bucharest. Dr. Ramadan completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He specializes in the psychiatric treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Ramadan has been with Hittle House since 2007. Ms. Jones has been working closely with Dr. Ramadan for several years and sees clients under his supervision.

Tamara Rieser, Director of Education

Mrs. Rieser holds a Master of Education degree from Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Education degree from Ohio Dominican College. She worked as a teacher from 1993 – 2017. She became the Director of Education at WPA and has been in her position at Hittle House since 2018.

Mrs. Hayden-Carey holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. She has been educating students from 1998 to the present and has been teaching at Hittle House since 2015.

Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Ohio State University and obtained her teaching certification from Ohio Dominican College. She began her teaching career in 2004 and has been teaching at Hittle House since 2019.

Mr. Lemmermen holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and an Associate of Arts degree from Ohio State University. He joined the teaching team at Hittle House in 2020.

Ken Ehrman, Special Education Coordinator

Mr. Ehrman holds a Master of Educational Leadership and Administration degree from Ashland University. He also holds a Master of Education, Intervention Specialist degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a Bachelor of Elementary Education degree from Ohio State University. He has been educating students from 1989-present and has been working with the education team at Hittle House since 2019.

Christian McCloskey, Intervention Specialist

Mr. McCloskey holds a Master of Education degree and was certified in Special Education from Ohio Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comprehensive Social Studies and Sociology from the University of Mount Union. He holds five-year licensure Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist (K-12) and five-year licensure in Comprehensive High School Social Studies (7-12). Mr. McCloskey has been teaching since 1999 and has been with Westwood Preparatory Academy since 2017. He joined the Hittle House team in 2020.

Ms. Leasure holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and is currently completing a Master of Education at Bowling Green State University. Ms. Leasure joined the Hittle House teaching team in 2020.

Jennifer Randle/Sensei, Martial Arts Teacher

Ms. Randle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University in 1993 and has worked in academic publishing since 2001. She continues to work as a copy editor for scientific journals. She holds belts in multiple martial arts disciplines, including kung fu and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and has competed internationally. She has been teaching Therapeutic Martial Arts at Hittle House since 2016.

Ms. Ketzer holds a Master of Social Work degree from Ohio State University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies from Miami University. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and has been a part of the school team at Hittle House since 2013.

Ashlee Harris. M.A., Clinical Program Coordinator

Ashlee has been employed with Hittle House since 2019, first as a master level intern and then into her current role as the Clinical Program Coordinator. She holds a Masters degree in clinical counseling and is responsible for the residents therapeutic experience & quality of life, ensuring every child has the best and most therapeutic experience during their stay at Hittle House.
