Hittle House LLC is a residential and outpatient care center that started in 2008. We are:
- Licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services
- Certified by the Ohio Department of Youth Services
- Accredited by the National Council on Accreditation
- Certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
We work with boys from ages eight to 17 years old. We have licensed professionals who are trained and competent in providing therapeutic interventions and quality education to children and their families.
Our facility is 30,000 square feet and is completely gated, providing privacy and security. Each resident will enjoy his own private bedroom and private bathroom as well as meals and snacks in our spacious kitchen and dining room. There is also an indoor recreational facility and game room for those cold, rainy days and an athletic field for outdoor recreation.
The History
Hittle House was started by Heidi & Heather in 2007 after losing their father unexpectedly. Both worked in the social work field but felt compelled to start their own business helping children and families and put their grief to good use. Many of the people that work at Hittle House currently came with us from other agencies and have been with us since the beginning. They are our family as well as our coworkers. We share the same mission, vision, and values. We believe that every child should be living in a stable and loving family after a brief stay with us.
The company was founded by Heidi McAfee and Heather Bush, in loving memory of their father, Donald Hittle.
